Hi, I'm Rachel Buckley, a qualified secondary school Maths teacher and Assistant Principal with experience teaching Maths, Science and Biology since 2018.
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students of all abilities, helping them build confidence, strengthen their understanding and achieve their full potential. As a classroom teacher, I understand the challenges students face and the support they need to succeed both in school and in exams.
I created Ask The Maths Teacher to provide high-quality resources, small-group tuition and personalised support in a positive and encouraging environment. My teaching approach focuses on clear explanations, structured learning and exam-focused strategies that help students develop both confidence and competence in Mathematics.
Whether your child is looking to improve their understanding, build confidence, prepare for exams or achieve top grades, my goal is to make Maths more accessible, less stressful and ultimately more enjoyable. I am committed to helping every student reach their potential and achieve success.

My Approach
My approach to teaching is centred around building confidence, creating understanding and helping students feel supported in their learning. I believe students make the most progress when concepts are explained clearly, questions are encouraged and learning takes place in a calm, positive environment. Each class is designed to combine structured teaching, worked examples and exam-focused practice so that students can gradually improve both their understanding and their confidence. My goal is not only to help students achieve strong results, but also to help them feel more comfortable and capable in maths overall.
